Barbados

Barbados is an eastern Caribbean island. Bridgetown is the capital.

We were on an excursion from our cruise ship. We took an island tour passing all places of interest and walking along beaches seeing where the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea meets, rugged coastline and palm trees. Beautiful views and a gorgeous church with lots of history. We have visited in February 2020.

Picturesque Bathsheba Beach on Barbados' East Coast is famous for its iconic cliffs and rocks – and the Soup Bowl, a popular surfer's spot.

Our photo opportunity at Bathsheba Beach

A cluster of palm trees, photo taken in the St. Thomas parish of Barbados.

These birds are Black Drongos, they have entirely glossy black feathers and long forked tail

At Bathsheba Beach, massive coral limestone boulders that have broken away from ancient reefs and now sit just offshore. It is often referred to as a "mushroom rock".

St John's Parish Church Bridgetown Barbados. This Anglican church is neatly located on Hackleton’s cliff, one thousand feet above sea level and offers one of the best views of the rugged eastern coast of Barbados.
